The inhabitants of this town were idolaters. He called them towards Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ). But they rejected him and persisted in their disbelief for a long time.

Prophet Ayyub (عليه السلام) was the descendant of Prophet Ishaq (عليه السلام). He lived in Syria. He was very humble and used to glorify Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) devotedly. He was subjected to a huge trial during his life, and he came out successful in it.
